Over the top reaction

ஹா ஹா ஹா யாத்ரீகன். considering bangalore, i think that it is a sensible directive :)- what to do ?

அவர் சொன்னது 'Advisory' தான். they are not stopping VISA or doing things like that.

i think it was a right reaction especially when 8 school students were infected when they came back from NASA trip...just imagine crowded indian school and how fast it can spread.

even WHO has issued advise to defer non-essential travel abroad...

அந்த 30 பேரில் 11 பேர் fully cured and sent home.

Sam,

After reading your comment, I still think it is over the top reaction. Or just a copycat act like what other countries are doing.

They are also doing a checkup in airports for the passengers travelling from other countries. But i don't even get a phone number or a place whom we should contact if we identify ourselves with any of these symptoms.

And the government directive/advisory does not even spell the countries where we should avoid travel.

And the next point is that if this is not a dangerous disease, why panic ?

And would do you treat students who has to travel abroad for the studies comes under non-essential travel ?

And i did not know about NASA trip and the students who got infected. I hope they all recover.

Do you think students going abroad for studies comes under non-essential travel ?

mani ..health minister statement that you have quoted, was made directly in reference to that incident. i dont know how you are saying it as a copycat reaction.

there are countries which has shutdown their primary school, i think we are ahead of them atleast..

regarding the advisory itself , what if there was some other batch of students in some other part of country planning for a study trip, ...may be they are alerted...may be they are saved from getting infected because of the advisory....may be....may be...think of it as a 'proactive' or 'reactive' steps.

//And the next point is that if this is not a dangerous disease, why panic ? ////

nobody has died of this disease in India till date..india is fully equipped (as per government)....'indian summer' has also helped..to date not dangerous.
fact is people have died in other country...it is pandemic..climate change in india... are the reason for panic.

//Do you think students going abroad for studies comes under non-essential travel ?////

if they are returning in a short time, yes. it is non-essential.

No issues sam. when you have a valid point, you should insist it. :)- That is the right approach. If the directive is for those students who go there for some sort of exchange programs, then it is correct. (and that too when some students are infected. media would not allow it otherwise)

I heard your speech bruno and i have a better clarity now. (i went to your site to get the link )
